The town of Taunton is marks a historic milestone in its journey towards fostering a more compassionate community. In a significant ceremony coinciding with the Taunton Together Festival, key community leaders will officially signed the Charter for Compassion, pledging to integrate compassion into all aspects of town governance and community life.
The signing ceremony took place on September 28th in Taunton Minster attended by the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor, The Reverend Tobie Osmond, the High Sheriff, and Andy Spragg from The Sangha House, who represents the charter in the UK. These distinguished leaders signed the charter on behalf of Taunton, affirming the town’s commitment to compassion as a guiding principle.
