Our Mission
Compassionate UK CIC emerges from a living commitment to compassionate action and caring intention. We value the sacred nature of All Life.
Inspired by the Charter for Compassion, we respond to local and national needs through:
● education and collaborative initiatives that weave our cultural and societal fabric and ensure All Life can flourish in Peace.
● cultivating a network of compassionate communities that are grounded in love, hope, creativity, and joy.
● nurturing relationships of equality, respect, trust and belonging
Our Origin
The origins of Compassionate UK can be traced to a recognition among UK advocates for the Charter for Compassion that its distinctly American character required adaptation to better resonate within a UK context. In response, an effort was made to present the Charter through a uniquely UK lens, both in organisational approach and in discourse surrounding compassion. Collaborative discussions were initiated with other groups promoting compassion across the UK; however, it became evident that these organisations preferred affiliation with a homegrown entity. Consequently, Compassionate UK CIC was established with the endorsement of Charter for Compassion International.
If you are going to be compassionate, be prepared for action!
